"Some short films attempt to be too stylistic in an attempt to show everyone every skill in one brief display. Others aren’t taken seriously enough and are too minimalist in their approach to see anything profound.
Garden of the Gods sits in that not unheard of but ultimately rare category of the short film that shows those involved are primed for grander and broader things."
